What a Difference a Year Makes

We were blessed to be able to go back to the Seattle area for a week long mission trip. Last year we went to work with a church planter in Tacoma. It was such a great trip, this year our trip was made up of two teams and we included a church plant in the Everett area.

Our days were full of prayer walking, cook outs in local parks and apartment complexes and then kid's clubs at night. Wonderful and I were able to spend a few days at each site. It was neat to return to the Tacoma area and see kids we remembered from the previous year. They had grown so much. This "little bit" stole my heart, she referred to herself in the third person as in "Snow White doesn't play that game". So stinkin cute!

We also had people in the parks remember us from cooking lunch last year. A couple of people even remembered we were from Texas. It is so fun to see how quickly relationships can be built.

As great as it was to visit Tacoma, the most precious time of all was spent in Everett. You see last August when we visited, Paul and Amanda were on our mission team. This year Paul and Amanda were the church planters we worked with in Everett. They have a great blog here that shares their story. It is amazing the journey they have walked this last year and I hope it inspires you as much as it does me.
